Besides some testing items that were completed by the third-party laboratory, we have the inspection and analysis protocols for all the incoming raw material, semi-finished products, and final products to ensure quality control. In 2020, 16,016 batches ran through the raw material analysis with 25 of them failed to comply with the standard that’s a 99.84% passing rate. Of the batches tested abnormal, the inspectors from our Food R&D Department then issued the Raw Material Abnormal Notice. The sourcing department would contact the supplier to proceed with the cause analysis to either offer corrective actions or accept the return of raw material. The actions taken by the suppliers and the quality of the raw material will all be part of the supplier evaluation.
In 2020, 40,221 batches of the semi-finished product and final product completed the analysis, with 19 of them failed to comply with the standard that’s a 99.95% passing rate. Of the batches tested abnormal, the inspectors from our Food R&D Department then issued the Abnormal Notice to the production lines for improvement. Analysis performed at the external laboratory：in 2020, total of 1,467 samples were sent for analysis, which included 767 vegetable oil samples, and 700 grains samples, 100% passing rate.
In 2020, Charming Food conducted inspection and analysis protocols for all the raw material, meat products, and processed products, total of 20 types of analysis for 6,097 sample batches,of inspection and analysis increased 43% as compared to 2019 and related expenses was NT$4,675,017, which was equivalent to 0.42% of the company product gross income. Effective July 1, 2021, FDA will implement “Sanitation Standard for Microorganism in Foods” and we will adjust the inspection items accordingly to comply with the new regulation.
